Air play and other feature probs

Vlc streamer is locking up after starting movie on iPod the new one with latest updates. Will continue to play but unable to select Air play or any other features until the movie is over if I switch to Music and select air play then get back into vlc it will play to apple tv v3 or can go change back to iPod through music
any help would be appreciated
iPod 64g v5.2or whatever the latest is apple tv latest updates Windows 7 home amd 6 core (conversion is quick from uncompressed .iso) video and audio quality is good will be using app until jailbreak for apple tv v3 is out.

could you provide steps to the problem

1) do this
2) do other
-expect xxx
-get yyy

please also provide version numbers for the helper and iPad apps
