VLC Remote / Advanced Settings / Display

Using either Subtitles, Audio Track, Aspect Ratio or Crop Aspect Ratio results in VLC player changing the subtitle position by -1 px.

What am I missing?

I'm running VLC player 1.1.7.

you need to re-run the setup helper.

You probably upgraded VLC and didn't re-run the helper.

If you are doing the setup manually, then check the step about the status.xml file

I had VLC 1.1.7 before I installed VLC remote and VLC setup helper.
I did re-run the setup helper before posting here.
What exactly do you mean by "check the step about the status.xml" file?
I would really appreciate it if you could elaborate on that.

do a find in the page for status.xml and you'll find the relevant step

No clue as to why this didn't take when running the setup helper.
After replacing the .xml file it works like a charm.

Hi!

Have exactly the same problem as pike666db. Want to do the setup manually but cannot find the step about status.xml because it isn't in the instructions. Actually, I cannot find it anywhere on our site. Where am I suppose to look?

status.xml isn't needed for VLC 2.00
